The Finance head will have strong financial and operational skills and the ability to act as a strategic thinker with the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, and a deep understanding of healthcare finance and operations. The Finance head will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with unit business unit head and other key stakeholders to ensure that financial strategies are aligned with overall business objectives and executed on accordingly. The Finance head will also be supporting Unit business team with developing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and delivering on the financial plans.
• Analyze and evaluate financial performance, identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and implement strategies to achieve financial targets including identifying key areas for cost optimization opportunities.
• Provide financial analysis and support to regional business unit management teams, including variance analysis, trend analysis and financial modeling. Support in developing feasibility analyses for new projects including developing and quantifying performance improvement initiatives.
• Work with unit business team to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Develop, implement, and maintain systems of effective internal controls within the units and work closely with assurance providers such as internal control, internal audit and external audit to ensure internal controls over financial reporting are effective.
• Collaborate with other departments, including corporate finance functions (incl. shared services), revenue cycle management and operations, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee the annual financial audit for the business units including relevant reporting.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, including regulatory and financial changes, and provide insights and recommendations to hospital leadership.
• Build, manage, develop, and inspire a team of direct and indirect reports in the achievement of business and functional objectives.
• Develop and grow strong cross-functional relationships to ensure the achievement of financial and business objectives through collaboration, information sharing, and communication.
• Maintain a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and the implementation of best practices to enhance financial operations.
• Recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA, CPA, ACCA, MBA Finance).
• Minimum 4 to 5 years' experience in a financial business role or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
• Experience with financial systems and technology, including ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and also with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience in Healthcare accounting and finance.
