JOB PURPOSE: Lead a team across Financial Control section of Shared Services and financial process improvements whilst ensuring the efficient and timely running of the finance operations for the organizationKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: \xe2\x80\xa2 Participate in the design and lead the implementation of Financial Control Shared Services roadmap to achieve efficiency and effectiveness of core accounting and finance processes and activities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Effectively communicate Financial Control Shared Services strategy and roadmap and future operating model across the organization \xe2\x80\xa2 Build, manage, develop, and inspire a team of direct and indirect reports in the achievement of business and functional objectives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Create and implement a customer service culture, including establishing and reporting on key performance metrics that measure and monitor the effectiveness and service levels of the Financial Control Shared Services organization. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop, implement and maintain system of effective internal controls within the Financial Shared Services organization and work closely to ensure internal controls over financial reporting are compliant to international standards and best practices. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop and grow strong cross-functional relationships to ensure the achievement of Financial Control Shared Services and business objectives through collaboration, information sharing, and communication. \xe2\x80\xa2 Determine, agree and improve contractual requirements, including Service Level Agreements (SLA\xe2\x80\x99s) with Financial Control Shared Services customers in order to meet service specifications and deliver against business objectives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Lead month-end close for the Financial Control Shared Services organization \xe2\x80\xa2 Recruit, motivate and develop talent in the organization with the focus of building a strong performing team that includes global process owners and local process managers.Supervision \xe2\x80\xa2 Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectiveTrain and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectivesBudgets \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide input for preparation of the Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control. Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures \xe2\x80\xa2 Implement approved Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section\xe2\x80\x99s work programs in line with Council and International standards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations. Performance Management \xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section in line with the Council Performance framework. Innovation and Continuous Improvement \xe2\x80\xa2 Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes. \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal \xe2\x80\xa2 Daily interaction with internal stakeholders in shared services team. External \xe2\x80\xa2 Interact with external advisors or consultants.QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Minimum Qualification Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting, finance or any other related field.
