The core purpose of the role is to drive and manage the financial controlling activities and governance for the group. Implement the financial strategy in line with the client's vision, mission, and corporate objectives; as well as the group delegation of authority policy.Financial Control and Governance
Establish and maintain strong financial controls, systems, and governance frameworks to minimize risk, ensure accurate reporting, and support business objectives.
Develop and implement Group policies for financial decision-making, including project oversight and business unit consolidation, in line with company timelines.
Provide guidance on standard operating procedures to ensure consistency across operations.
Implement systems to safeguard financial records and ensure compliance with regulations.
Oversee cost control activities, including project accounting, budget approvals, variance analysis, and financial planning.
Stay updated on financial and legislative changes, leveraging technology to enhance financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR)
Lead the development and implementation of a robust ICFR framework across the organization.
Conduct regular assessments to identify key financial areas requiring oversight, ensuring critical transactions and financial statement line items are properly managed.
Collaborate with business units and finance teams to streamline internal control testing and strengthen financial reporting accuracy.
Work closely with auditors, providing necessary support and information to facilitate audit processes.
Financial Accounting
General Ledger & Financial Consolidation
Oversee the group's general ledger processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and alignment with regulatory guidelines.
Ensure seamless data transfer from subsidiary systems to the Group's system, performing regular reconciliations and financial oversight.
Lead the financial consolidation process on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring accurate reporting and regulatory compliance.
Review general ledger accounts to verify correct cost allocation, address inquiries, and approve necessary journal adjustments.
Cost Accounting
Develop and manage cost centers and allocation methods to optimize cost distribution across products and services.
Implement cost allocation strategies across operational units, ensuring accurate chargeback mechanisms and alignment with Group policies.
Accounts Payable & Payroll Management
Establish and enforce payment policies and controls, ensuring compliance and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Supervise accounts payable transactions, verify vendor invoices, and review pre-payments to ensure timely and accurate processing.
Monitor ledgers and overdue invoices, coordinating payment workflows and resolving discrepancies efficiently.
Conduct payroll data reconciliations to incorporate changes or adjustments, supported by proper documentation.

Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
Professional Finance Qualification (CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA etc)
10+ years of relevant working experience in financial planning, analysis, controlling or related field
Industry preference: oil and gas, energy, power, utilities
Proficiency with Oracle and Microsoft Office suite
Strong IFRS and financial reporting technical skills.
