The RoleWe are seeking a skilled and motivated RAN Engineer to join our dynamic team in the telecommunications industry. As a RAN Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, designing, and implementation of our Radio Access Network (RAN) infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and optimization of wireless networks, ensuring optimal coverage, capacity, and performance.Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and design RAN solutions based on customer requirements and network capacity needs
• Conduct site surveys, evaluate radio propagation characteristics, and provide recommendations on site selection and network optimization
• Perform on-site installation, commissioning, integration, and testing of RAN equipment, ensuring proper configuration and functionality
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues related to RAN infrastructure, liaising with internal and external stakeholders as necessary
• Monitor network performance, conduct periodic audits, and develop improvement plans to enhance network efficiency and quality
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, suggesting innovative solutions to optimize RAN performance and reduce operational costs
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of RAN equipment, collaborating with vendors for procurement and negotiation of contracts

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
• Proven experience as a RAN Engineer or in a similar role within the telecommunications industry
• Strong knowledge of RAN technologies, including LTE, GSM, UMTS, and 5G
• Proficient in the use of RAN planning and optimization tools, such as Atoll, Planet, or Asset
• Familiarity with RAN equipment from leading vendors ideally with Etisalat
• Solid understanding of wireless network protocols, IP networking, and network security
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Willingness to travel to various sites, both domestically and internationally, as required for project implementation and support
