We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fiber Optic Splicer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in fiber optic splicing and a strong understanding of various types of fiber optic cables. You will be responsible for splicing fiber optic cables, testing connections using OTDR, OLTS, and power meter testing equipment, and troubleshooting issues to ensure high-quality network performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform fiber optic splicing, including fusion splicing of single-mode and multi-mode fiber.
• Install and maintain fiber optic cables, including aerial and underground setups.
• Conduct tests using OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer), OLTS (Optical Loss Test Set), and power meters to ensure optimal performance.
• Read and interpret network schematics and fiber assignments.
• Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic systems.
• Terminate fiber optic cables using various connectors and methods.
• Document splicing activities, generating reports on test results and network layouts.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate with supervisors on project progress and issues.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in fiber optic splicing.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of various types of fiber optic cables (single-mode, multi-mode, ribbon, loose tube, etc.).
• Testing Knowledge: Proficient in using OTDR, OLTS, and power meter testing tools.
• Reading Skills: Ability to read and understand fiber splicing diagrams, network layouts, and schematics.
• Familiarity: Knowledge of fiber splicing tools and equipment, including cleavers, splicing machines, and hand tools.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces, and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Fiber Optic Splicing or a related field.
• Experience with fiber optic installation and troubleshooting in FTTx, metro, or backbone networ

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
