Strategic Intent The receptionist is responsible for, but not limited to, the greeting and comfort of guests as well as taking and managing bookings and billing customers for their purchases. Scope of Position The receptionist is the first point of contact for customers, whether by phone or in person. This position is of vital importance as the receptionist has to ensure that all customers feel welcome and comfortable, that their needs are attended to and that they receive 306 Spa standards of customer care. Duties & Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Take appointment, both over the phone and in person \xc2\xb7 Welcome Customers \xc2\xb7 Customer Care \xc2\xb7 Customer invoicing and daily accounting \xc2\xb7 Customer Payment handling \xc2\xb7 General Administrative Duties Experience \xc2\xb7 A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role \xc2\xb7 A minimum of 2 years experience in a luxury customer service environment. \xc2\xb7 Experience and understanding of the hair and beauty industry, including an understanding of methods, treatments and services offered. Delighting our clients \xc2\xb7 Must be responsible and proactive \xc2\xb7 Sociable, friendly and genuine with customers \xc2\xb7 Must be able to interact easily with clients and colleagues alike and always maintain a professional demeanour. Working together as colleagues \xc2\xb7 Actively listens and builds on ideas \xc2\xb7 Emotionally stable and mature in temperament \xc2\xb7 Accepts feedback well and keen to learn and improve \xc2\xb7 Takes accountability for own and others around with a focus on ensuring problems are resolved regardless of reasons. \xc2\xb7 Possess a fundamental understanding of the luxury market and the level of client care required \xc2\xb7 Good time management skills and comfortable with multi-tasking \xc2\xb7 Has energy, enthusiasm and dedication \xc2\xb7 Fashion aptitude Acting with Responsibility \xc2\xb7 Establishes accountability for self and others \xc2\xb7 Can identify core issues and problems \xc2\xb7 Emotionally stable and mature \xc2\xb7 Accepts feedback \xc2\xb7 Manages responsibilities Other Core Competencies
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
  • Must have knowledge of current beauty trends in the industry
  • Must be able to relate to all levels of management and colleagues.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to network with contacts relevant to the salon
  • Must have knowledge of holistic concepts that relate to the well-being of all guests in a spa and salon environment.
  • Must be open to learning about treatments, skills and concepts that derive from other cultures.
  • To be adaptable and accountable for all actions.
  • Consistently strive for a higher level of achievement both personally and professionally
  • Must be comfortable performing treatments for at least 8 hours.
  • Must have good time management skills in regards to treatments.
  • Must be familiar with five star customer service
