We are currently seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Accountant and Purchaser to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our food and beverage department as well as sourcing ingredients and products to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. Your responsibilities will include: Accounting Responsibilities: - Overseeing all aspects of financial accounting and reporting for the food and beverage department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and month-end closing procedures. - Monitoring and analyzing financial performance, including revenue, expenses, cost of goods sold, and inventory levels, to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities. - Developing and maintaining budgeting and forecasting models for the food and beverage department, in collaboration with department heads and management. - Conducting regular audits of financial transactions and reconciling discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. - Managing inventory valuation, including inventory counting, valuation adjustments, and reconciliation of physical inventory to accounting records. - Providing financial insights and recommendations to management on pricing strategies, menu engineering, and product mix to maximize profitability. - Liaising with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies as needed to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and reporting obligations. - Supporting ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as assigned by senior management. Purchasing Responsibilities: - Sourcing ingredients, supplies, and products for the food and beverage department, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness. - Identifying and evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, and maintaining vendor relationships to secure favorable terms and pricing. - Monitoring inventory levels and demand forecasts to optimize purchasing decisions and minimize waste. - Conducting regular quality assessments and inspections of incoming products to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. - Collaborating with culinary and management teams to develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business goals and operational needs. - Managing purchase orders, invoices, and payment processes in coordination with accounting procedures. - Staying updated on industry trends, market conditions, and product innovations to inform purchasing decisions and maintain competitiveness. Requirements: - Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
