As a Contract Fashion Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and designing apparel collections that align with PalmFit\'s brand identity and resonate with our target audience. PalmFit is seeking a talented and experienced Contract Fashion Designer to join our team. As a Contract Fashion Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and designing apparel collections that align with PalmFit\'s brand identity and resonate with our target audience. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a passionate team and contribute to the development of innovative fashion pieces. Key Responsibilities:
- Concept Development: Collaborate with the creative team to develop seasonal concepts and themes for apparel collections.
- Design Creation: Utilize your creative flair and technical skills to design fashion-forward and marketable apparel pieces, including but not limited to tops, bottoms, dresses, and outerwear.
- Trend Research: Stay abreast of current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market demands to ensure collections remain relevant and competitive.
- Fabric and Trim Selection: Source and select appropriate fabrics, trims, and embellishments that align with design concepts and quality standards.
- Technical Drawings: Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for each design to facilitate sample development and production.
- Prototype Review: Work closely with the product development team to review and refine prototypes, ensuring design integrity and fit accuracy.
- Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including merchandising, production, and marketing, to ensure alignment and successful execution of collections.
- Deadline Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality and creativity.
- Proven experience (2 years) working as a fashion designer, preferably in apparel or related industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing original designs and creativity.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools.
- In-depth knowledge of garment construction, fit, and fabrication.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and evolving priorities.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Fashion Design or related field (preferred).
