The successful candidate is expected to instruct general biology courses in addition to advanced courses related to their area of expertise. The successful candidate is expected to instruct courses at the undergraduate level as well as graduate courses in the PhD in Biosciences and Bioengineering (PhD-BSBE) program.As an American-accredited institution in the liberal arts tradition, we seek candidates with a passion for both teaching and research in any area of specialization to join . • A PhD in Biology (or a related field)
• An established record in teaching, research and service, or a clear ability to establish such a record at AUS

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in teaching introductory biology courses
• Experience in teaching courses in health and medical sciences with emphasis on cancer biology and/or nutrition
• Experience in conducting research in the aforementioned areas of expertise

The Department of Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Sciences (BCE) offers bachelor of science degrees in biology, chemistry and environmental sciences, and minors in biology, environmental sciences and environmental policy.
