Job Description

We are seeking a Factory Operation Manager to lead my clients printing press operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive managerial experience and a deep understanding of print production processes.

This role involves overseeing production planning, resource management, quality control, and team leadership to ensure seamless and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the complete print production process, including pre-press, press, and post-press operations. Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer deadlines with high quality standards. Ensure optimal machine utilization and oversee preventive maintenance to reduce downtime. Maintain strict adherence to print specifications, color accuracy, and finishing requirements. Monitor raw material inventory (papers, inks, plates, etc.) and coordinate timely procurement. Drive operational efficiency and cost control while maintaining output quality. Lead and manage production teams including supervisors, operators, and helpers. Ensure compliance with workplace safety, health, and environmental regulations. Collaborate with internal departments (design, sales, logistics) to ensure workflow alignment. Analyze production reports and KPIs to implement continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Printing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in the printing industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. Strong knowledge of offset, digital, or flexographic printing methods. Experience with high-speed and large-format printing equipment. Proficiency with production planning tools and print management software (e.g., MIS). Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Preferred Skills: Hands-on knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma practices. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple print jobs under tight timelines.
