Job Description

• Facility Maintenance & Operations:
• Ensure that all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security, etc.) are operating efficiently.
• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify issues before they become major problems.
• Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and system replacements as needed.
• Project Management:
• Plan and oversee facility improvement projects, such as renovations, expansions, or new installations.
• Work with contractors and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Monitor project progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Budget Management:
• Develop and manage the facility's operational and maintenance budget.
• Analyze energy usage and implement cost-effective solutions to reduce energy consumption.
• Monitor expenses related to repairs, maintenance, and utilities.
• Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure the facility complies with local, state, and federal regulations regarding building codes, safety standards, and environmental policies.
• Conduct safety audits and drills to maintain a safe working environment.
• Prepare for inspections by regulatory agencies and ensure timely resolution of any compliance issues.
• Sustainability Initiatives:
• Implement energy-efficient practices and sustainable technologies (e.g., LED lighting, solar energy, water-saving systems).
• Monitor environmental impact and promote green initiatives within the facility.
• Vendor & Contractor Management:
• Source and manage relationships with external contractors and service providers.
• Evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality services and cost-effective solutions.
• Emergency Response & Incident Management:
• Develop and implement emergency response plans for natural disasters, fire safety, power outages, and other crises.
• Lead response efforts in case of facility emergencies or breakdowns to minimize disruptions.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, repairs, inspections, and compliance audits.
• Generate reports on facility performance, expenses, and maintenance activities for management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Background: A degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field is typically required. A combination of education and relevant work experience may also be considered.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and security systems. Experience with facility management software is often required.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.
• Project Management Skills: Experience in managing projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and working with contractors.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly with staff, contractors, and vendors.
• Certifications (optional but beneficial): Certifications in facility management (e.g., Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP)) or specific building systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical systems) can be advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED7,500.00 per month
