Job Description

As a Facility Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of all aspects of our facility's infrastructure. This includes mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other systems critical to the facility's functionality. You will oversee maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards while minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct regular inspections of all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) to identify and resolve issues promptly. Schedule and oversee maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades as necessary.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure the facility meets all safety and environmental regulations. Implement and monitor procedures to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the facility's maintenance budget. Monitor expenses, negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Emergency Response: Develop and implement contingency plans for emergencies such as power outages, equipment failures, or natural disasters. Coordinate responses and ensure quick restoration of services.
• Energy Efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs. Implement energy-saving initiatives and monitor their effectiveness over time.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. Prepare reports for management detailing facility operations and performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a Facility Engineer or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and infrastructure (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and best practices.
