Position Summary

Summary of Main Duties
--------------------------


• Analyze problems at existing facilities and generate solutions
• Adhere to industry safety practices during the performance of all work.
• Develop timelines for completion of projects within established target dates
• Manage and support facility-related projects and expansions.
• Provide technical support for site facilities leads on equipment troubleshooting, building maintenance, and new construction
• To maintain up-to-date building and system documentation.
• Acquire and maintain appropriate technical knowledge relation to assigned responsibilities
Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance during the annual and multi- year budgeting process for facilities work including ongoing maintenance, equipment replacement, capital purchases, staffing levels, and construction/ renovation projects.
• To seek, evaluate, monitor and interact with the outsourced facility contractors to ensure the economical, efficient and qualified services
• prepares recommendations for repairs or improvements.
• Prepare and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken


Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, BMS system, fire/life safety, and other Hospital systems


Position Requirements/Qualifications
----------------------------------------


• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (mechanical, electrical, civil, biomedical), facilities management, construction management or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of the elements of cost in construction and maintenance including the determination of unit cost records.
• Knowledge of the development and use of contracts, estimates, and specifications

• Ability to maintain records, and prepare reports and correspondence related to the work.
• Must be flexible to support 24/7-hour facility
• Experience in managing external contractors
• Knowledge of building processes and construction principles


Ability to analyze and solve complex and technical problems, and to evaluate alternative approaches in their resolution
