Our Emirates Engineering Facilities department is dedicated to creating and maintaining premier environments for all engineering needs. From state-of-the-art hangars and workshops to efficient material stores, offices, and training spaces, we ensure every facility supports and enhances engineering excellence. We manage electrical power, air conditioning, fire safety, cleaning, specialized equipment, landscaping, and compressed air systems, while supporting facility expansion and maintenance.The Facilities Maintenance Manager will lead and manage maintenance activities for all facilities and equipment utilised during daily operations in accordance with recommended and recognized international maintenance standards to ensure asset longevity and optimal availability of all building infrastructure, and deliver continuous improvement with the maintenance operation in an efficient and cost effective manner while ensuring compliance to safety and quality standards.

• Manage a team of technical staff carrying out facility operation, maintenance and repair duties, ensuring that all tasks are completed within scheduled time frames while maintaining required quality standards. Manage manpower effectively to ensure sufficient 24/7 coverage is available throughout all facilities.
• Manage service contracts relating to the provision of maintenance services required in all facilities efficiently and cost effectively. Participate in negotiations and compilation of contractual agreements to ensure maximum cost effectiveness, quality and standards.
• Continually review and develop the maintenance strategy to achieve the most economical balance between in house maintenance operations and outsourced services while maintaining the required standards and availability.
• Plan and direct day to day control and operation of general facility services e.g. fire protection systems, power, water and air supply, general lighting, chemical water treatment and waste disposal to ensure uninterrupted services and necessary action to prevent potential disruptions are immediately instigated.
• Manage the maintenance operations effectively and efficiently by continually developing the equipment maintenance procedures and schedules in the computerized maintenance management system to meet the required conditions. Implement time scheduling and utility cost saving initiatives through the effective use of the building management system, electrical load shedding and similar programs.
• Report to and deputise for senior management and interface regularly with other departmental managers to assist and proactively identify ongoing requirements regarding facility support equipment and services to meet operational requirements.
• Carry out regular audits and inspections of maintenance and installation work performed by contractors and EK staff to confirm it is being executed to the required standards. Ensure that the requirements of International Regulatory bodies such as Civil Aviation Authority, Joint Aviation Authority, ICAO, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority etc are complied with in regard to buildings, equipment and services.
• Lead projects and provide input on design deliverables, construction progress and equipment selection in order to ensure compliance with initial specifications, reliability and optimal maintainability of installations and equipment leading to the successful delivery of the projects.
• Manage the continuous development of operation and maintenance staff, identifying areas where additional training would be beneficial to enhance efficiency and/or effectiveness of staff.
• Compile lists of necessary spare parts and consumables for critical equipment, ensuring that sufficient quantities are kept in stock in order to execute repairs in the shortest possible time frame.

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

• Degree in Engineering; Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or a closely related subject.
• 8+ yrs engineering maintenance experience in a management/supervisory role within a large industrial facility, ideally within the aviation industry.
• Experience in a similar capacity handling a large industrial facility
• Mechanical Expert having extensive knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, firefighting and Electrical.
• Must be familiar with NFPA building construction and safety codes
• Must have an in depth knowledge of High Voltage installations, HVAC systems and large Chilled water production facilities
• Must possess excellent computer skills in MS Office, AutoCAD and be familiar with computerized maintenance Management systems.
• Good communication skills in English.
