Job Description

You will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by fabricating mechanical components and assemblies. Your expertise in machining, welding, and assembly will be instrumental in producing high-quality products according to specifications and standards. Fabricators required for

1. Carbon Steel Workshop - Material S355,S275 Carbon Steel, P265 Boiler Plate for Pressure Vessel Fabrication, Abrasion Resistant Plate e.g. Hardox 400. Knowledge of Pipe Fabrication an advantage. Predominately MIG Welding

2. Stainless Steel Workshop - Material Grade 304 & 316 Stainless Steel. MIG and TIG Welding

Responsibilities :

• Fabrication: Utilize machining tools such as lathes, mills, bandsaws, plate rolling machines, sectional rolling machines, guillotine machine and CNC machines to fabricate mechanical components with precision.
• Welding: Perform various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, welding to join metal components accurately and securely. Experience in Submerged Welding not essential but an advantage. Items manufactured include Pressure Vessells to PD5500 and ASME Standards. Hoppers, Structural Steelwork, Ducting, Conveyors, Slides and Divertor Valves for material handling.
• Assembly: Assemble fabricated components into mechanical assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect fabricated parts and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Problem-solving: Identify and troubleshoot issues during the fabrication and assembly process, implementing solutions to ensure product integrity.
• Material Handling: Handle and manage raw materials and finished components effectively, ensuring proper storage and organization.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of fabrication processes, including material usage, production rates, and quality control measures.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to understand design requirements and provide input on manufacturability and efficiency.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational training or certification in machining, welding, or a related field preferred.
• Additional certifications in welding or machining techniques beneficial.
• Forklift driving experience will be an advantage
