OIL & GAS INDUSTRIES (DUBAI/ABU DHABI) is looking for an amazingly talented Fabrication Planning & Estimation Supervisor to join our team! In this role, you will get to perform planning and Estimation of project contract activities typical to the engineering and mechanical/construction industry and be the lead on existing projects in UAE. Core Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and update project schedule based on the contract.
  • Set work program and target milestones for each phase based on the project plan.
  • Monitor critical activities based on the project schedule and advise project management.
  • Prepares and submit updated work program and cash flow curve showing actual progress and identify areas of weakness and establishes means and methods for recovery, if any, as well as new critical activities.
  • Monitor day to day work progress and prepare the weekly and monthly program and report.
  • Maintain and record update of site work progress obtained from Operations Manager.
  • Prepares monthly report reflecting work progress summary.
  • Report to the Operations Manager about the current work progress and make comparison between plan and actual progress and study impact of alternative approaches to work.
  • Track overall progress prepare monthly work progress statement and raise invoices
  • Overall responsibility to plan the production activities
  • Prepare plans and schedule for all project delivery.
  • Issue work orders and route cards.
  • Take Prior approvals before issuing route cards.
  • Coordinate with customer on updating status and delivery schedules.
  • Preparing and gathering all data and information required for effective planning /scheduling, monitoring and controlling the execution of activities of the project
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Organizing the transportation of materials.
  • Ensuring plans meet the clients specifications.
  • Prepare job packs.
  • To prepare quotes based on the requirements
  • Communicate to customer on the quotes and revisions.
  • Estimate the price of products
  • To Log enquiries in enquiry register.
  • Project Analysis: Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to understand project requirements and scope.
  • Cost Estimation: Utilize cost estimation software, historical data, and industry benchmarks to estimate the cost of materials, labor, equipment, and other resources required for project execution.
  • Quantity Take-off: Perform quantity take-offs for materials and labor based on project drawings and specifications.
  • Vendor and Supplier Management: Obtain quotes and negotiate prices with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing for materials and services.
  • Cost Breakdown: Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including material costs, labor costs, equipment costs, overheads, and contingencies.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project costs, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Value Engineering: Collaborate with engineers and project teams to identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality or performance.
  • Bid Preparation: Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals by providing accurate cost estimates and supporting documentation.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, assumptions, and supporting documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Cost Tracking: Monitor project costs against budget allocations, identify variances, and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, cost factors, and new technologies to continuously improve cost estimation processes and methodologies.
  • And/or any other tasks/projects as assigned by Management.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • Knowledge of project feasibility studies and strategic planning.
  • Understanding relevant Technical Documents / Specifications.
  • Computer literate
  • High level of critical thinking skills.
  • High level of numerical skills.
