Job Title: Fabrication Painting Supervisor
Department: Maintenance/Operations
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Job Purpose:
To oversee and supervise all painting-related activities, ensuring high-quality work that meets project, design, and client specifications. The Painting Supervisor will lead a team of painters, manage resources, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Supervision and Coordination:
Assign tasks and oversee the daily activities of the painting team.
Monitor team performance to ensure efficiency and quality of work.
Train and mentor staff on painting techniques and safety practices.
2. Project Planning and Execution:
Coordinate with clients, designers, and project managers to understand requirements.
Develop work schedules and timelines to ensure project completion within deadlines.
Conduct site inspections to assess surface conditions and recommend necessary preparations.
3. Quality Assurance:
Inspect completed work to ensure consistency in color, texture, and finish.
Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the painting process.
4. Surface Preparation and Painting Oversight:
Ensure proper preparation of surfaces, including sanding, scraping, filling, and priming.
Supervise the selection, mixing, and application of paints, stains, and finishes.
5. Resource Management:
Manage inventory of painting materials and tools, ensuring availability and proper maintenance.
Coordinate the procurement of required supplies within budget constraints.
6. Safety and Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ensure compliance with environmental and workplace safety regulations.
7. Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of completed projects, resource usage, and team performance.
Report progress and any challenges to the Maintenance Manager.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
Capable of standing, bending, and working in various positions for extended periods.
Work Environment:
May involve work at heights, in confined spaces, or outdoors.
Exposure to paint fumes and other construction-related materials.
