Fabrication Engineer
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Design and Development:
• Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Develop and optimize fabrication methods and processes.
• Assist in the creation of prototypes and new product designs.
• Production Planning:
• Plan and schedule fabrication operations to meet project deadlines.
• Coordinate with teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and resources.
• Develop workflows and production layouts to enhance efficiency.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure all fabricated products meet design specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct inspections and tests during and after fabrication.
• Implement corrective actions for any quality issues.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes.
• Implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and costs.
• Stay updated with industry trends and new fabrication technologies.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with welders, machinists, and other team members.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve production issues.
• Train staff on new processes and equipment as needed.
• Health and Safety:
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and promote safe working practices.
• Experience:
• Proven experience in fabrication or manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with CAD software and manufacturing tools.
