Job Title: Facade Estimator Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates Responsibilities:
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements to understand the scope of work for facade projects.
- Analyze project documents to identify materials, labor, and equipment needed for facade installations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineers and project managers, to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimation.
- Utilize cost estimation software and tools to calculate material quantities, labor costs, and other project expenses.
- Prepare detailed and itemized cost estimates, including breakdowns of materials, labor, subcontractor bids, and overhead costs.
- Present cost estimates to management for review and approval, ensuring alignment with project budgets and profit margins.
- Participate in bid meetings and client negotiations, providing insights and recommendations regarding project pricing.
- Maintain accurate records of project estimates, revisions, and correspondence with clients and subcontractors.
- Stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new materials to continuously improve estimation accuracy and competitiveness.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source materials and subcontractor services at competitive prices without compromising quality.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, with specific expertise in facade systems estimation preferred.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools, such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar programs.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex project documents and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines without compromising accuracy.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to facade construction in the UAE is a plus.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and willingness to learn new techniques and technologies.
