Facade Design Manager ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Minimum 10 - 20 years working experience in Facade industry as a Designer.

Preferable Gulf Experience.

Age 35 ? 50

Produce details of facade systems based on architectural sketches and assist in the delivery of detailed facade tender and shop drawing packages.

Provide 2D drafting using Autocad software for architectural documentation and detailed working drawings such as architectural facade tender submissions and shop drawing packages for Facade/Curtain wall projects and prepare material schedules

Provide 3D drafting using AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Solid works and/or Sketchup Pro to develop 3?dimensional details for the purposes of design development and/or drawing documentation as required

Interpret and produce fabrication?level detailed drawings, sketches and written instructions

On?site design monitoring if necessary

Experience with Roofing, curtain walling, SFS, and relevant Facade system

Prepare facade technical specifications

Coordinate with the relevant parties to raise/resolve project?related issues which could affect the delivery of the documentation

Follow the general drawing protocols and CAD file system set by Inhabit

Maintain internal document control of drawings and changes following Inhabit standards

Review and evaluate design deliverables to ensure buildability and compliance, liaising with the client's design team and specialist suppliers

Coordinate with the relevant parties to raise/resolve project?related issues which could affect the delivery of the documentation and update your manager/project leader as required

Manage time to ensure the production of deliverables to agreed timelines and within budget

Assist engineers and design team in regards to CAD or hand sketches for presentation purposes as required

Monitor Design output from offices across the region and review shop drawings from contractors

Liaise with other staff, project teams, associated consultants and clients, and assist in building and maintaining relationships to determine the best facade design outcomes

Actively participate in design workshops and meetings, where cladding solutions are explored and determined. Workshops and meetings will be with clients, architects and contractors

Provide training in Design to other members of the team as required

Develop own skills in design, engineering, materials, etc.

Keep an up?to?date working knowledge of relevant design techniques, technical standards, codes of practice and systems and procedures and share knowledge and update technical library

Keep up to date with design software new to the market that will help develop our business

Evaluate opportunities for improved efficiencies and effectiveness in consultation with management including identifying, developing and implementing standards, systems, tools and processes to support continuous improvement within the business

Take an active interest in the other disciplines (Design Documentation, Building Physics/ESD/PassivHaus, Acoustics, Logistics, BMU/Remedial, Lighting etc..) to further develop your specialist skills

Understanding cost planning and output required to meet project budgets

Assisting the management team in securing work, marketing and fee proposals

Allocation and management of time to suit programs and project budgets

Ensure projects are completed on time and without cost overrun

Ensure high technical standing on the project such that client complaints do not arise

Communicate with clients to establish their needs and maintain a dialogue throughout the project

Maintain an exceptional favourable record in client response to timeliness and quality of work provided

Continually aim for repeat business from all clients in contact with Inhabit

Take necessary action to prevent the occurrence of design documentation and/or quality system non?conformity

Advise management if any tasks are beyond your current level of competency to get assistance, as and when required

Ensure all project documentation is maintained to a level as required by Inhabits' Quality Manager and QA system

Endorse and facilitate the quality management system (QMS) and the Business's commitment to quality

Be responsible for assisting in the professional and technical development of junior staff and assisting in the technical development of Inhabit

Grow and develop in professionalism and job effectiveness through reading Inhabits' technical notes and contributing to the development and improvement of the technical notes on an active basis

Participate in educational programs and skill?based training as required

Coordinate, participate and actively contribute to design workshops, where facade solutions are explored and determined. Workshops may be with architects, suppliers and fellow professionals and with the facade industry

Ensure that personal goals are set and targeted for personal development

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED18,000.00 - AED25,000.00 per month
