Job Description

Core Responsibilities:



Menu Development and Execution:

Create innovative and appealing menus that align with the restaurant's concept and target audience. Develop and standardize recipes, ensuring consistency and quality. Oversee the preparation and presentation of all dishes, maintaining high culinary standards. Adapt menus based on seasonal availability, customer feedback, and current culinary trends.

Kitchen Management:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, assistants, and dishwashers. Create work schedules and assign tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and sanitation regulations. Ensure proper functioning of all kitchen equipment and arrange for maintenance or repairs as needed.

Inventory and Cost Control:

Manage food inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing ingredients. Monitor food costs and implement strategies to minimize waste and maximize profitability. Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and quality of ingredients. Conduct regular inventory checks and audits.

Staff Training and Development:

Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Provide ongoing training on culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen procedures. Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback and coaching. Maintain a positive working atmosphere.

Quality Control and Customer Satisfaction:

Ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's quality standards and customer expectations. Monitor customer feedback and address any complaints or concerns promptly. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. Ensure that all food is prepared to health and safety regulations.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
