We are seeking an experienced and innovative Executive Pastry and Bakery Chef to lead our pastry and bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for pastry arts, a creative flair, and the ability to produce high-quality desserts and baked goods. This role requires a leader who can inspire and mentor a team, manage day-to-day operations, and uphold our high standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the pastry and bakery department, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Develop and create new and innovative dessert and bakery menus that align with the overall culinary direction of the restaurant.
Oversee the production of all baked goods, pastries, desserts, and confections.
Ensure all products are prepared in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Manage inventory, ordering, and costing to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
Train, mentor, and develop a team of pastry chefs and bakers.
Collaborate with the executive chef and other kitchen staff to ensure a cohesive and harmonious kitchen environment.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and techniques.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end establishment.
Exceptional culinary skills with a focus on pastry and bakery arts.
Strong leadership and management abilities.
Creativity and innovation in dessert and bakery creation.
Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred
