Our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking government entity in Abu Dhabi is currently searching for a strategic and hands-on ED of Procurement to develop a strategic approach to the corporate procurement. The team will have tactical responsibility for the development and implementation of policies, procedures and systems that support the company\'s acquisition and materials management of goods and services.
The role
- Setting and facilitating the overall purchasing strategy of the organisation - Develop and communicate a procurement business plan - Establish, communicate and implement long-term goals for the department in order to promote effectiveness and efficiency - Develop, communicate and administer procurement team performance and development plans and appraisals - Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the market to ensure best value and practices are maintained - Negotiating contracts and service agreements with suppliers - Forecasting ongoing demand for goods and services - Manage current procurement policies, procedures and programs with a focus on their ability to enhance organizational value and efficiency
Client requirements
- UAE national with family book - Minimum 18 years\' experience from a similar background - Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Logistics or related field (ideally with relevant certification) - Results-oriented, metrics-driven leader with expertise in purchasing, supplier collaboration, development and compliance - Expertise in sourcing and procurement and building a vendor program - Excellent negotiation, budgeting, project management and presentation skills
