Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Executive Chef specializing in pastries and bakery items to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pastry arts, exceptional leadership abilities, and a passion for creating innovative desserts and baked goods that delight our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Menu Development: Create and design seasonal pastry and bakery menus, incorporating current trends and customer preferences while ensuring high-quality standards.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise pastry and bakery staff. Foster a positive and productive work environment that encourages creativity and teamwork.
• Quality Control: Ensure all pastries and baked goods meet the highest quality standards in taste, presentation, and hygiene.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of ingredients and supplies. Manage ordering, storage, and cost control to minimize waste and ensure profitability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the executive chef and other kitchen staff to coordinate menu items and ensure consistency across all food offerings.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the pastry and bakery department budget, including labor, food costs, and overhead.
• Customer Engagement: Interact with guests and gather feedback to continuously improve pastry offerings. Be open to special requests and dietary restrictions.
• Training and Development: Conduct regular training sessions for the team to enhance skills and knowledge in pastry techniques and presentation.
• Safety and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Culinary degree or equivalent experience in pastry and baking.
