The Project Engineering Manager - ETO will act as engineering lead on projects taking full ownership of all engineering activities, be responsible for leading and managing all functions of engineering across global office locations, including process, mechanical, electrical, instruments, controls, piping design and structural, and work closely with the Project Manager, Procurement Lead, and other project services to execute the project in accordance with the as sold requirement and Client expectations.
+ Understand the as-sold engineering scope of supply and communicate that to the engineering functions on the project.
+ Work closely with the Client's engineering leads and act as the technical point of contact.
+ Ensure the project is being executed in accordance with Cameron's SLB's Practices, Procedures and Work Instructions.
+ Generate and develop the project engineering scope of work and execution plans.
+ Develop the work share execution plan with other offices.
+ Subcontract specialist engineering activities to outsourced companies as required.
+ Provide project hour estimating, planning, and forecasting for all engineering functions.
+ Review, approve and control hours on a project.
+ Coordinate and facilitate design reviews.
+ Manage engineering change management and generate MOCs as required.
+ Write technical fabrication contracts and manage the technical aspects of the contract.
+ Support proposals, sales, projects and aftermarket departments/activities as required.
+ Work closely with project managers and planner to develop the Project Schedule.
+ Provide input to the Lessons Learned process and utilize findings from the process to update tools and processes.
+ As required, visit global fabricators during pre-award, manufacture, and factory acceptance testing.
+ Initiate Technical clarification/deviations for submission to client during project execution stage
+ Plan and monitor engineering deliverables for submission within the required schedule.
+ Prepare/coordinate in deliverables preparation such as Equipment list, Master Document List, Weight control report and other deliverables which involved inter-discipline coordination.
+ Attend bid clarification meetings, kick off meetings and design review meetings.
+ Check and approve the work of others as required.
+ Provide coaching and mentoring of more junior engineers within the department.
+ Reviewing project specifications and incorporating requirements into Client design and equipment / procurement specifications.
+ Represent the engineering in working with the Project Manager (PM) and the Supply Chain to manage and steer the project toward successful completion throughout all phases of the project including engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning/start-up; while complying to company standards, project requirements, and applicable codes.
+ Liaise with third party agencies as required to ensure projects are executed in accordance with contractual requirements.
