Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare Cost Estimates: Analyze project documents, including blueprints, specifications, and proposals, to develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Bid Preparation: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to prepare and submit competitive bids.
• Risk Analysis: Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them in the cost estimates.
• Vendor and Subcontractor Management: Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Cost Tracking: Monitor ongoing projects to ensure costs remain within the budget and adjust estimates as necessary.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on estimates, cost breakdowns, and project profitability for management review.
• Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to clarify project requirements and address any concerns regarding cost estimates.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and best practices in estimation and project management.
