Joinery Estimator - Join Our Growing Team!

Location: Sharjah, Sajaa

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for precision and cost management? We're looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team at La Vida Factory , a leading joinery factory specializing in high-quality custom woodwork and furniture. In this key role, you'll work closely with our production team, project managers, and clients to ensure every project is completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accurate Cost Estimation: Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates for all joinery works, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.

- Bid Preparation & Proposal Management : Create and submit competitive bids and proposals that reflect the true scope of work, ensuring alignment with client expectations and our production capabilities.

- Material and Labor Estimation : Calculate the quantities and costs of raw materials, finishes, and hardware for each project, taking into account project specifications and site conditions.

- Collaboration with Production & Project Teams : Work closely with our production managers and project supervisors to ensure accurate costing and provide support throughout the manufacturing process.

- Supplier and Vendor Coordination : Source materials and request quotes from suppliers, evaluating the best options based on cost, quality, and availability.

- Budget Monitoring : Assist in establishing project budgets and regularly track costs, providing updates and recommendations to ensure projects stay within budget.

- Risk Assessment : Identify potential risks or challenges that could affect project costs (e.g., material shortages, changes in labor rates) and develop strategies to mitigate these issues.

- Post-Project Review : Analyze completed projects to compare actual costs with estimates and refine future estimation processes.

What We're Looking For:

- Experience : Proven experience as an estimator in a joinery, carpentry, or manufacturing environment. Experience with custom woodwork and furniture projects is a plus.

- Technical Skills : Strong proficiency with estimation software (e.g., Estimator, CostX, or similar) and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with joinery-specific terminology and materials is essential.

- Attention to Detail : Ability to meticulously review technical drawings and plans, ensuring all project details are accounted for in your cost estimates.

- Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.

- Organized & Reliable : Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, keeping estimates accurate and on schedule.

- Problem-Solving : Analytical mindset with a keen eye for identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,200.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
