The Estimator/Quantity Surveyor will play a critical role in sourcing, procuring, and surveilling the best cost/quality effective materials required for furniture manufacturing. This includes wood, steel, marble, stone, and other related materials. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to establish and maintain a robust procurement process. Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to establish and maintain a robust procurement process. Key Responsibilities:
- Material Sourcing & Procurement:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for wood, steel, marble, stone, and other materials required for furniture manufacturing.
- Establish relationships with suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality materials at competitive prices within UAE.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and maintain budgetary control.
- Cost Estimation & Budgeting:
- Accurately estimate the costs of materials, including screws, mechanical parts, paint, foam, and any other materials related to manufacturing furniture.
- Develop detailed cost breakdowns and budgets for projects, ensuring all materials and labor costs are accounted for.
- Monitor and report on material costs and project budgets to ensure financial efficiency and project profitability.
- Quality Control & Surveillance:
- Conduct regular inspections of materials to ensure they meet the company\'s quality standards and specifications.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure that materials are used efficiently and effectively in the manufacturing process.
- Address any quality issues or discrepancies with suppliers promptly to maintain production schedules.
- Procurement Process Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement process for sourcing and purchasing materials from Within or Outside UAE Market.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules.
- Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with the design, production, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on material requirements and project timelines.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to keep them informed of material availability, costs, and any potential issues.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on procurement activities and cost savings initiatives.
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Quantity Surveying, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 Years Proven experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or similar role in the furniture manufacturing industry with the UAE - Ajman Preferable.
- Strong knowledge of materials used in furniture manufacturing, including wood, steel, marble, and stone with the UAE - Ajman Preferable.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
