Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Construction Estimator with expertise in purchasing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs while also managing the procurement of materials and subcontractor services. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Estimating:
• Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates.
• Identify and quantify cost factors, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
• Prepare comprehensive estimates, proposals, and bids for clients and stakeholders.
• Purchasing:
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to secure favorable contracts and agreements.
• Place purchase orders and monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of materials and services.
• Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to address purchasing needs and resolve issues.
• Review and approve invoices for accuracy and compliance with purchase orders.
• Project Coordination:
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates and purchasing decisions.
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures to control costs and maximize profitability.
• Provide recommendations for value engineering and cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, purchase orders, contracts, and related documentation.
• Generate reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and project performance as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred) OR equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator with a focus on purchasing in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software and purchasing systems.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data, interpret technical documents, and solve problems effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,600.00 per month
