Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estimator / Procurement Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, managing procurement processes, and ensuring that all materials and services are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of the construction/engineering industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for projects based on blueprints, specifications, and client requirements. Develop and maintain a database of material, labor, and equipment costs. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather essential project details for accurate estimations. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness. Manage procurement processes, including purchasing of materials, equipment, and services required for projects. Prepare and review purchase orders, contracts, and bid documents. Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure the best terms and pricing. Monitor project budgets and ensure procurement activities align with financial targets. Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project schedules. Continuously review and update cost estimates to reflect changes in scope, materials, or market conditions. Collaborate with internal departments to streamline procurement activities and improve cost-efficiency. Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and industry advancements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in estimation and procurement, preferably in the Electrical Engineering industry. Proficiency in using estimation and procurement software/tools. Strong knowledge of supply chain management and procurement processes. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing cost estimates and procurement orders. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
