Job description Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Preparing commercial proposals by analyzing project specifications and tenders. \xc2\xb7 Identifying labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, specifications, and related documents. \xc2\xb7 Preparing BOQ\xe2\x80\x99s in line with project specifications. \xc2\xb7 Be experienced and proficient to manage all aspects of pre and post tender submitted. \xc2\xb7 Consistently seeking new companies to pre-qualify for inclusion on tender list. \xc2\xb7 Negotiating with approved contactors and vendors. \xc2\xb7 Resolving discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. \xc2\xb7 Presenting prepared estimate to the Senior QS for further action. \xc2\xb7 Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up such data frequently. \xc2\xb7 Verifying sub-contractor\xe2\x80\x99s claims and Quantity Surveyor\xe2\x80\x99s calculations of progress at site and material on-site / off-site. Requirements: \xc2\xb7 Should have a minimum of 2 to 4 years Joinery/Fit-out experience in an estimation role in GCC \xc2\xb7 Degree or Diploma in Quantity Survey and Estimation as well as thorough knowledge of the Interior Fit-out industry. \xc2\xb7 Should be well-versed in English. Proficiency in Hindi would be preferred. \xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge in materials related to Fit-out industry and quantification. \xc2\xb7 FIDIC knowledge would be preferred. \xc2\xb7 Practical knowledge in estimation softwares such as Plan Swift would be preferred. \xc2\xb7 Good experience in researching, sourcing, negotiating, and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers as well assubcontractors. \xc2\xb7 Basic knowledge of MEP quantities & MEP costing process. \xc2\xb7 Having a ready network of Fit-out Suppliers & Sub Contractors from UAE market & overseas \xc2\xb7 Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects. \xc2\xb7 Effective communication skills and technically sound.
