The Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of manufacturing and installing custom furniture pieces. This role requires a strong understanding of materials, labor, and production processes within the furniture industry. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with various departments to ensure accurate and competitive pricing. Key Responsibilities:
The Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of manufacturing and installing custom furniture pieces. This role requires a strong understanding of materials, labor, and production processes within the furniture industry. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with various departments to ensure accurate and competitive pricing. Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for furniture projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Material Analysis: Determine material requirements and costs, considering quality and availability of resources.
- Labor Costing: Estimate labor costs based on project complexity, workforce requirements, and production timelines.
- Vendor Coordination: Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
- Budget Preparation: Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial forecasts.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and advice to the sales team during the bidding process.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of estimates, quotes, and project costs.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve estimation processes and tools.
- Collaboration: Work closely with design, production, and project management teams to ensure accurate and feasible estimates.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and new materials to ensure competitive and accurate estimations.
- Education: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an estimator in the furniture or related manufacturing industry.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge: Understanding of furniture manufacturing processes, materials, and labor costs.
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
- Furniture Estimator: 1 year (Preferred)
