Job duties and responsibilities

• Review the project design drawings and specifications to determine assigned scope of work
• Able to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Able to quantify architectural, structural, civil elements of a project where the design is complete or near completion
• Develops knowledge of construction pricing
• Developing expertise in the use of design model software
• Develops an understanding of conceptual estimating
• Able to network with applicable subcontractors in discipline expertise areas for the purpose of obtaining estimate input, preliminary bids and product information
• Able to receive, analyse and complete bid comparisons in discipline expertise areas
• Preparation of BOQ.
• Must be familiar with CCS (candy), plant swift software
• Has a strong understanding of planning and scheduling and of the company cost structure (overheads)
• Familiarity with construction industry (Building, warehouse & Fit-out works)-standard cost estimation methodologies.
• Strong project management and tender preparation skills.
• Deep understanding of construction, engineering, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in database management for accurate cost tracking

Job qualifications/requirements

• 8 - 12 years of experience working in a similar position.
• Preferably candidates with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Proficient in engineering software. (AutoCAD, Revit, SAP)
