Position Overview:

The Estimation Engineer at Fables Interiors will play a critical role in preparing accurate cost estimates for interior design and fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will analyze project requirements, coordinate with design and procurement teams, and ensure all estimates are comprehensive and aligned with project specifications. This position requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of interior design and construction materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation:
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for interior fit-out projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Analyze design drawings, specifications, and client requirements to determine project costs.
• Tendering and Bidding:
• Prepare and submit tenders, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project goals.
• Review and evaluate vendor quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with specifications.
• Coordination and Collaboration:
• Work closely with the design and project teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to source material costs and negotiate vendor pricing.
• Budget Management:
• Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring they align with the client's financial constraints.
• Monitor and track actual costs against estimates and report any deviations.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of all estimates, quotations, and project cost analyses.
• Prepare detailed estimation reports for management and clients.
• Market Research:
• Conduct market research to stay updated on material costs, labor rates, and industry trends.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 -4 years of experience as an Estimation Engineer, preferably in the interior design or construction industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools such as AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of interior design materials, construction techniques, and industry standards.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
• Other Requirements: Familiarity with tendering processes and contract negotiation is a plus.
