Job Title: Estimator / Quantity Surveyor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs and preparing detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ). The role involves working closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure accurate project budgeting and cost control.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on project specifications, drawings, and scope of work.
• Develop detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) including materials, labor, and equipment required for each project phase.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and provide input on cost-effective solutions.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
• Review and analyze tender documents, contracts, and proposals to identify project risks and opportunities.
• Maintain updated records of project costs, expenditures, and variations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets and monitor actual costs against budgeted amounts.
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Provide support during project tendering processes, including preparing tender documents and participating in bid evaluations.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to ensure competitiveness in cost estimates.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in using estimating software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and construction standards.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating project costs.
• Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is a plus.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
