Job Title: Estimation Engineer (Sales)

"J WALT" is an ISO Certified Interior Design, Interior Fit-Out, MEP, and Civil Maintenance Company based in Dubai built to provide cost-efficient and state-of-the-art services to customers.
We undertake all kinds of Civil & and MEP maintenance works including partitioning, false ceiling, flooring, wall tiling, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, steel and aluminum fabrication, interior decorations, landscaping, and A/C maintenance for both domestic and commercial sectors.
3. ABOUT ROLE
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Estimator cum Sales Engineer to join our interior design company. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in estimating project costs, preparing quotations, and actively engaging with clients to promote our interior design solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
4. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
4.1. Sales, Requirement Gathering, BOQ Preparation & Estimation
? Create new sales (Fit-out, MEP & Civil work) and marketing strategies that target B2B customers.
? Follow-ups, negotiations, and closing of sales.
? Receiving and handling inquiries by telephone calls and emails from customers.
? Organizing the site visits with clients based on the enquiries.
? Make necessary preparations before the site visit.
? BOQ preparation is based on the requirements gathered, risks identified, and scope of work.
? Estimate cost and time for the BOQ and scope of work identified.
? Identify the workforce requirement for the project.
? Preparation of project proposals and quotations.
? Documentation of the material/activity pricing risks for future use.
? Identify areas where we can improve customer satisfaction and repeat business, then communicate those issues and possible solutions to upper management.
? Set and achieve sales goals.
? Promote the company's interior design services to potential clients through effective communication and presentations.
? Negotiate terms and contracts with clients, ensuring a win-win situation for both parties.
? Arrange all the necessary prerequisites for the project (Permissions, Approvals).
4.2. Client Engagement
? Actively engage with potential clients to understand their interior design needs and preferences.
? Provide knowledgeable guidance and recommendations to clients on suitable design solutions.
? Communicate and get confirmation of the workforce availability and schedule.
? Coordinate the work with the Client and workforce (Internal Team/External Supplier).
? Complete all the document works required (E.g. Risk Assessment Form & Method Statement).
? Make sure all the communications and agreements with the Supplier and client are formal.
4.3. Site Supervising
? The main priority is safety and responsibility to motivate the workers to do the work in a disciplined way.
? Provide daily safety instructions to the workers.
? Assessing various safety hazards and reporting them to the concerned person/team.
? Responsible for arranging the necessary permissions to perform the job at the site.
? Make sure HSE/legal/client rules and regulations are followed.
? Make sure adequate quality is maintained in every stage of the work.
? Make sure the site is clean and safe (Maintain proper housekeeping)
? Manage the work progress without scope creep and report the progress regularly.
? Manage the project and work site as per the standards until sign-off from the Client.
5. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
5.1. Essential qualifications
? Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical)
? 4 to 6 years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Estimator Site Supervising, and Project
Management.
5.2. Key competencies
? Solid knowledge of Joinery, Civil Works, MEP, HVAC, and Project Coordination.
? Hands-on experience in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
? Experience in using computers, the internet, and search engines like Google.
? Good understanding of Business Activities.
5.3. Other skills and abilities
? Strong leadership and people management skills.
? Excellent time management & communication skills.
? Service-minded, pro-active & positive attitude.
? Self-driven, Logical Thinking.
? Works well with all personality types (A good team player).
? Excellent communication and presentation skills.
? Fluent in English and a Confident Speaker.
? Must have knowledge and understanding of estimations, BOQ preparations, and pricing.
? Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
? Sales-oriented, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
? Must have experience in working on target-based technical sales.
