Job Title: Estimation Engineer - Landscaping Industry (5+ Years of Experience)

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estimation Engineer in the landscaping industry with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in preparing accurate cost estimates, evaluating tender documents, and managing the overall costing for landscaping projects, including hardscaping, softscaping, irrigation systems, and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for landscaping projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overheads.
• Tender Evaluation: Analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to create comprehensive and competitive bids for landscaping projects.
• Bill of Quantities (BOQ): Prepare and review BOQs for various landscaping services such as planting, irrigation, hardscaping, and maintenance.
• Market Research: Conduct market research to evaluate material and labor costs, and maintain an updated database of pricing for landscaping materials, plants, and services in the UAE.
• Vendor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain quotations and ensure accurate pricing for all materials and services.
• Cost Control: Monitor and track project costs throughout the life cycle of the project, identifying potential cost savings and ensuring compliance with the budget.
• Value Engineering: Provide value engineering solutions to reduce costs while maintaining project quality and client satisfaction.
• Quantity Surveying: Perform site measurements and verify quantities for ongoing projects to ensure the accuracy of cost estimates.
• Preparation of Proposals: Assist in preparing technical and financial proposals for clients, including detailed cost breakdowns, schedules, and scope of work.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and design teams to ensure that all estimates align with project specifications and client requirements.
• Risk Analysis: Assess and mitigate risks associated with cost fluctuations, project scope changes, and other unforeseen conditions.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all estimation and pricing documents, and prepare regular reports for management on project budgets and cost performance.
• Sustainability Considerations: Incorporate sustainable practices and cost-effective solutions, including water-efficient designs, eco-friendly materials, and energy-efficient systems, into cost estimates.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimation Engineer in the landscaping, construction, or civil engineering industry.
• Proven experience in preparing cost estimates and bids for landscaping projects in the UAE, including hardscaping, softscaping, and irrigation systems.
• Strong knowledge of local market rates for landscaping materials, labor, and equipment.
• Proficient in estimation software (e.g., Candy, WinQS, or similar).
• Strong understanding of landscaping design principles, including materials selection, planting techniques, and construction methods.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with local construction regulations, standards, and codes in the UAE.
• Knowledge of sustainability principles and green building practices is a plus.
