Job Overview:
As a Civil Estimation Engineer, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, building construction, and other civil works. You will analyze project requirements, review design documents, and conduct cost assessments to prepare competitive bids and proposals. Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Estimation: Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other technical documents to determine the scope of work, materials required, and labor hours for civil engineering projects.
  • Quantity Takeoff: Perform quantity takeoffs and measurements for various construction activities, including earthwork, concrete, steel reinforcement, formwork, utilities, and other structural elements.
  • Material and Labor Cost Analysis: Research material prices, labor rates, equipment rental costs, and other factors to accurately estimate the cost of materials, manpower, and equipment required for construction.
  • Subcontractor and Vendor Management: Obtain quotes and bids from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for specialized services, materials, and equipment, and evaluate their proposals to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
  • Cost Breakdown and Pricing: Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, pricing schedules, and bill of quantities (BOQ) for civil engineering projects, including direct costs, indirect costs, overheads, and profit margins.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project costs, such as changes in market conditions, regulatory requirements, or unforeseen site conditions, and incorporate risk contingencies into cost estimates.
  • Value Engineering: Collaborate with project teams to identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures without compromising quality, functionality, or safety standards.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive bid documents, proposals, and tender submissions for civil engineering projects, including technical specifications, cost estimates, project schedules, and other relevant information.
  • Client Communication: Present cost estimates, bid proposals, and project budgets to clients, consultants, and stakeholders, and address any queries or concerns related to pricing and cost management.
  • Post-Bid Analysis: Conduct post-bid analysis and review feedback from clients and competitors to evaluate the competitiveness and accuracy of cost estimates and identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, construction methodologies, cost estimating techniques, and software tools to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and competitiveness in civil estimation practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in civil engineering is Required
  • Minimum 06 years UAE Experience in Same role
  • Previous experience in Construction Company is Required
  • Immediately joiners are Preferred
