Our client is leading facilities management and contracting firm based in AD are looking to hire experienced MEP Estimation Engineers to join their team:Key Responsibilities:
Project Scope Assessment & Cost Estimation:
Review project documents, drawings, and specifications to determine the scope of MEP work required.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP components, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted work, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
Analyze and incorporate project-specific factors, such as site conditions, regulatory requirements, and potential risks, into cost estimates.
Bid Preparation & Proposal Development:
Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and procurement to gather necessary information for preparing bids and proposals.
Develop comprehensive bid proposals, including cost breakdowns, timelines, and required resources, tailored to meet client expectations.
Ensure that bid submissions are accurate, well-organized, and submitted within required timelines to maximize win potential.
Vendor & Supplier Coordination:
Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices for materials and services.
Maintain an updated database of vendors and suppliers to ensure availability, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
Gather and evaluate quotes from suppliers to ensure compliance with project specifications and budget.
Cost Control & Value Engineering:
Identify and propose cost-saving measures and value-engineering solutions to improve project profitability without compromising quality.
Conduct detailed analysis of project costs versus estimates to identify areas for continuous improvement.
Adjust and refine estimation processes based on past project performance, market trends, and client feedback.
Technical Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure all estimates adhere to industry standards, codes, and safety regulations, as well as company policies.
Participate in internal reviews of project estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Support project execution teams by providing clarification and technical expertise on estimated costs and scopes as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
Min 3-5yrs experience in MEP cost estimation within the contracting, construction, or engineering sectors.
Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera, ERP or specialized MEP software) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with vendors, suppliers, and project teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
