Estimation and Design Engineer for Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting Projects
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Estimation and Design Engineer for our Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting Projects division. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in estimating and designing fire alarm and fire fighting systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing estimates and designs that meet project specifications, budgets, and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop cost estimates for fire alarm and fire fighting projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
• Design and engineer fire alarm and fire fighting systems that meet local, national, and international codes and standards.
• Prepare technical proposals, engineering reports, and design documents.
• Work with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and assess site conditions.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical support to project teams.
• Keep up-to-date with industry developments and new technologies.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Fire Protection Engineering.
• 3-4 years of experience in estimating and designing fire alarm and fire fighting systems.
• Knowledge of local, national, and international codes and standards, such as NFPA, UL, FM, and LPCB.
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD, Revit and other relevant software tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines.
