Overview
***This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP***
Responsible for will be responsible for creating/updating, delivering, and tracking training on OSHA EHS programs and related occupational health and safety as well as perform Industrial Hygiene duties as needed. This role is to support and advance worker safety initiatives at V2X. Integral to this role is working collaboratively with EHS team members, as well as program employees implementing the Environmental, Safety, and Health Plan; ensuring compliance with applicable Corporate, Federal, and Local requirements.
Responsibilities

+ Maintains close contact with the ESH Senior, ESH Engineers and Specialists to monitor program Environmental, Safety, and Health practices.
+ Communicates professionally, both orally and in writing, with Team Members as needed to relay information necessary for job success. This includes, but is not limited to, staff meetings, metrics, projects, Quality Standard Procedures, and ESH best practices.
+ Mentors ESH Specialists and assist ESH Team members in further development of their skills.
+ Updates relative data bases, reports, troubleshoot local Environmental Safety and Health Management Systems as needed.
+ Perform IH duties as required.
+ Work collaboratively with EHS, Program Leadership to identify and mitigate hazards through appropriate training and coaching.
+ Handles confidential matters (personnel actions, management reports, etc.) in the required manner.
+ Performs other qualified duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications
+ MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Education/Certifications: Two-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
+ Experience as an Environmental, Safety and Health Supervisor/Specialist, with firsthand knowledge of operations in a behavior-based compliance program and hazardous material management, to include environmental compliance; knowledgeable in OSHA, DOD, Army, and other applicable Federal regulations.
+ Experience in various Industrial Hygiene work activities, such as sampling for noise, lighting, hearing protection, etc.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
+ College/Vocational Education is preferred.
+ Preferred Certifications: OSHA/NEBOSH, HAZWOPER 40-Hr or 24-Hr, GHS, First Aid, CPR.
+ Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license from country of origin for obtaining and maintaining a valid Military or Kuwait Driver's License if necessary. May be required to have a Heavy Driver's License to drive Pick-Ups.
+ Experience:
+ At least 21 years of age
+ Hands-On HazMat Spill Response and Clean-Up Operations.
+ Industrial Hygiene work in similar conditions.
+ Safety and ISO Quality experience is a plus.
+ Be physically able to perform all general duties, functions, and activities.
+ Skills:
+ Ability to quickly understand new concepts and ideas.
+ Must be able to work under pressure.
+ Effective organizational, analytical, time management, report writing, and interpersonal skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with the local and American work force, ability to instruct small and medium groups of people on various OSHA related topics.
+ Competent in computer operations to include Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have a strong ability to work independently as a member of a robust team. Able to manage others to complete assigned tasks and trouble shoot local corporate ESH Management Systems as needed.
+ SUPERVISORY/BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ None
+ Working Environment:
+ Job assignments will involve the conduct of work in out-of-doors areas with exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
+ May work in areas where a potential exists for exposure to physical, chemical, and biological agents.
+ Duties will involve the conduct of work in the outdoors with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions including frequent dust storms, and high temperatures - up to 130 degrees in the summer months.
+ Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain areas is required.
+ Must comply with all Fire, Safety, and post policies.
+ Job may require overnight travel and may be located in areas considered high risk according to the Department of State.
+ Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to lift 35lbs continuously if required. Must be able to work overhead with arms raised for extended periods.
+ While performing duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk, and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, or controls.
+ Required to observe all safety and health requirements for office environment.
+ Must have professional appearance, consistent with local customs.
