Lead the on-site erection and commissioning activities for civil, mechanical, and electrical works, ensuring they align with project specifications and timelines.
Oversee the construction and installation of piping, pumps, and other critical systems, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards and project designs.
Subcontractor & Workforce Management:
Manage subcontractors, labor teams, and technicians, providing clear instructions and resolving on-site challenges to ensure efficient workflow.
Coordinate with subcontractors to confirm resource availability, compliance with project requirements, and adherence to safety regulations.
Client & Consultant Coordination:
Serve as the main point of contact for clients' representatives and consultants, addressing inquiries, reporting progress, and facilitating site inspections.
Ensure alignment with client expectations and regulatory standards, providing updates on project milestones and any adjustments to project plans.
Interdisciplinary Coordination:
Work closely with planning engineers, quality control teams, and other disciplines to maintain schedule accuracy and adjust workflows as needed.
Liaise with project teams to resolve technical issues promptly and ensure all aspects of construction and commissioning are synchronized.
Documentation & Compliance:
Develop and review critical documentation, including safety protocols, method statements, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedures, pressure testing, and pre-commissioning and commissioning reports.
Ensure all project documentation aligns with industry regulations, site requirements, and safety standards for water and wastewater projects.
Quality & Safety Assurance:
Implement and monitor site safety practices, ensuring all activities meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
Oversee quality inspections and perform checks to validate that installations meet project specifications, correcting any deviations as necessary.
Testing & Commissioning Preparation:
Conduct or oversee functional, performance, and pressure tests on systems and equipment to verify reliability before handover.
Support the preparation for commissioning phases by managing checklists, validating system readiness, and troubleshooting any issues during testing.
Reporting & Progress Monitoring:
Provide regular updates on site progress, resource allocation, and any deviations from the project plan.
Prepare and deliver reports to senior management, highlighting progress, milestones, and areas requiring attention.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
8-10 years of experience in erection and commissioning within large-scale water and wastewater projects, including desalination plants and pumping stations.
Skills:
Strong technical expertise in multi-disciplinary construction and commissioning activities.
Proven experience in managing subcontractors and coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including clients and consultants.
Excellent documentation skills, with a solid understanding of safety and regulatory requirements.
