Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Equipment and Disposables Coordinator/Officer with a nursing background to oversee the selection, procurement, management, and distribution of medical equipment and disposables used in homecare settings. This role combines clinical expertise and logistical oversight to ensure patients receive high-quality care and the right equipment, supplies, and disposables for effective at-home treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement and Inventory Management:
• Collaborate with suppliers to source cost-effective, high-quality equipment and disposables.
• Maintain and manage an organized inventory, ensuring items are readily available to meet patient needs.
• Monitor stock levels, expiration dates, and reorder supplies proactively to avoid shortages.
• Clinical Assessment and Product Selection:
• Leverage nursing expertise to select equipment and disposables that best support patients' clinical needs and safety at home.
• Evaluate product specifications and compatibility for patients with specific health conditions.
• Patient and Caregiver Training:
• Provide training for patients and caregivers on the safe and effective use of homecare equipment, including troubleshooting common issues.
• Offer guidance on proper disposal practices for medical waste and used disposables.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance:
• Ensure all equipment and disposables meet regulatory standards and safety guidelines for homecare use.
• Conduct routine inspections and quality checks on equipment before distribution.
• Collaboration and Coordination:
• Work closely with clinical teams, including nurses and doctors, to ensure alignment in patient care plans.
• Coordinate with the logistics team for timely delivery and setup of equipment in patients' homes.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of inventory usage, supplier performance, and quality incidents.
• Report on key metrics, including equipment utilization and patient satisfaction, to management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent. Advanced certifications in homecare or medical equipment management are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in homecare or a similar healthcare setting. Prior experience with medical equipment management is highly valued.
• Skills:
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and basic computer applications.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and safety protocols related to medical disposables and equipment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month

Education:

• Diploma (Preferred)
