Job Description

To operate standard motorized and diverse technical equipment safely and efficiently to undertake manual and technical activities to support dnata Airport Operations and Customers' requirements. This includes but is not limited to loading and unloading baggage and cargo to and from Systems, ULD, trucks, carts, and aircraft or movement of standard motorized and diverse technical equipment (including PBT) for positioning, maintenance, and repair.Job Outline:-Complies with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
- Discusses safety concerns openly and reports them to the concerned supervisor
- Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job and trained qualifications
- Operates different Ground Support Equipment (GSE) depending on the assigned area in line with the operating manuals based on the training qualifications
- Inspect assigned Ground Support Equipment to ensure serviceability and suitability
- Assists in airside operations activities including sorting, loading, and unloading baggage and cargo correctly (whether it is a unitized or bulk) to and from systems, ULD, trucks, carts and aircraftLogistics
- Ensures vehicles and equipment near the aircraft, congested areas, and where mandated are marshaled in and out, to and from the aircraft in a safe manner
- Arrange dollies, trollies, and ULD in various locations to support staging, supply, or rotation as the operation demandsBaggage and Cargo:
- Retrieves and stores unit load devices and cargo to/ from various areas (workstations, ramp, customer acceptance and delivery docks)
- Transfers unit load devices baggage dollies and urgent documents within the Cargo Terminal and Turnaround areasRamp:
- Loads and offloads dead load correctly and safely in accordance with the aircraft load plan
- Provides marshaling and handling of dead-load to ensure smooth aircraft turnaroundAmbulift:
- Meets and escorts passengers/customers for ambulance requirements as per the laid down service standards to provide quality service in coordination with the Special Handling AgentSupport:
- Day-to-day prioritisation of equipment for servicing in terms of mileage and recency
- Report all defects to the direct supervisor
- Lead the removal of defective equipment from site
