Equine Supervisor required in Doha. The position currently includes oversight of approximately 60 horses (young stock, mares and foals, pregnant mares), Grooms and Facilities, in multiple locations around the property. The position is supported with onsite Veterinarian, Maintenance and Landscaping staff. Duties to include: Determine and monitor the daily tasks of the grooms to ensure that they operate within the expected standards. Ensure the horses' feeding and grooming schedules are followed by the grooms. Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of the stables by the grooms to maintain a good environment for the horses. Train Grooms and Head Grooms on working procedures as well as safety regulations to ensure an appropriate level of skills. Keep inventory of all supplies, tools, and equipment to ensure they are maintained at appropriate levels and properly accounted for. Submit monthly material requests for inventory and for re-stocking tools and supplies to sufficient levels. Maintain records of each horse leaving/entering the stable and the person responsible for the horse to ensure horses are cared for appropriately at all times. Recommend improvements to the stable facilities, food schedules, training schedules and staff and horse group composition to enhance the horses' welfare. Supervise daily exercise of the horses in accordance with the paddock and socialization schedules. Consult with Farrier and Veterinarian on issues of horse care and welfare.
