We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Environmental Coordinator to join our team and help us maintain our commitment to environmental compliance and sustainability.Position Overview: The Environmental Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all drilling operations comply with environmental regulations and company policies. This role will involve monitoring environmental performance, implementing sustainability initiatives, and coordinating with regulatory agencies to ensure that our practices align with legal requirements and industry standards.Key Responsibilities:Regulatory Compliance:
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit required environmental permits and reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in environmental laws and regulations and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.
Environmental Management:
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans and programs for drilling operations.
  • Conduct regular environmental inspections and audits to identify and address potential issues.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling programs, ensuring proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Sustainability Initiatives:
  • Promote and implement sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental impact of drilling activities.
  • Identify opportunities for energy efficiency, waste reduction, and resource conservation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate sustainable practices into drilling operations.
Training and Education:
  • Develop and deliver training programs for employees on environmental policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of environmental awareness and responsibility within the organization.
Incident Management:
  • Respond to environmental incidents and emergencies, coordinating with internal teams and external agencies as needed.
  • Conduct investigations and prepare reports on environmental incidents, recommending corrective actions.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of environmental activities, inspections, and compliance efforts.
  • Prepare and present environmental performance reports to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in environmental management, preferably within the drilling or oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
  • Experience with environmental impact assessments and sustainability practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and environmental management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification as an Environmental Professional (CEP) or similar credential.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
  • Familiarity with drilling operations and related environmental challenges.
