Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Environmental Manager to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with environmental regulations, sustainability goals, and industry standards. The role involves conducting environmental assessments, implementing mitigation strategies, and promoting eco-friendly practices throughout project lifecycles.

Responsibilities:

• Planning, developing, and implementing environmental strategies and policies throughout the organization
• Conducting environmental research
• Staying up to date with news in environmental issues, such as natural disasters and endangered species
• Raising awareness throughout the organization of current environmental issues
• Evaluating current environmental strategies and adjusting them accordingly
• Monitoring resource use to ensure it complies with waste management and recycling policies
• Analyzing environmental monitoring data and preparing compliance reports
• Providing training to employees to ensure their understanding of environmental policies
• Coordinating or attending public hearings, conferences and events on environmental issues

Requirements & Skills:

-10 YEARS EXPERIENCE-

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• In-depth knowledge of provincial or territorial environmental policies
• Understanding of environmentally friendly technology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to solve problems efficiently
• Ability to develop innovative project ideas for reducing environmental impact
• Ability to complete assigned projects on time within a designated budget
• Ability to lead a team and designate project tasks effectively
• Ability to analyze data and create reports
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to conduct environmental research and create policies from the research
• Strong public-speaking skills to communicate to groups of people about environmental issues
