About the Role :

As an Environmental Engineer, you will play a critical role in assessing, monitoring, and mitigating the environmental impact of construction and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with engineers, urban planners, and government authorities to ensure that our projects meet all environmental regulations and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIA) and site investigations.
• Develop environmental management plans (EMP) to ensure compliance with local and international standards.
• Monitor air, water, and soil quality during construction projects and recommend mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate sustainable practices into project designs.
• Ensure compliance with UAE environmental laws and guidelines, as well as international standards such as ISO 14001.
• Prepare detailed environmental reports and documentation for regulatory submissions.
• Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders to address environmental concerns and provide technical support.
• Promote awareness of environmental issues within the team and lead sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental engineering, ideally within the construction or infrastructure sector.
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation in the UAE, as well as international environmental standards.
• Experience in conducting EIAs, EMPs, and environmental audits.
• Proficiency in environmental monitoring software and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and provide innovative environmental solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

Preferred :

• Experience in environmental management on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
• Certification in environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001 Lead Auditor).
