The role includes facilitating ERM activities such as risk identification, risk registers, risk management, and risk reporting to ensure alignment with client risk appetite and strategic objectives. The Specialist collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with best practices and emerging trends.Job Objectives
Own the risk registers and update them regularly as per the ERM Policy.
Support the deployment of risk assessment and measurement procedures to identify risks periodically.
Develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for key risks and report findings.
Facilitate risk management workshops to assist departments in drafting their risk registers.
Ensure compliance with international risk management standards such as ISO 31000:2018 and COSO ERM.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Implement all relevant policies, processes, and procedures to ensure controlled and consistent work execution.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by incorporating international best practices.
Prepare timely and accurate reports to meet policy and regulatory requirements.
Role ResponsibilitiesERM Strategy, Framework, and Processes
Analyze corporate strategic objectives to facilitate risk management framework deployment.
Conduct regular reviews of the ERM policy and framework to ensure relevance and alignment with best practices.
Develop and implement the Risk Management Plan in collaboration with the Risk Management Head.
Maintain updated risk registers and related documentation.
Risk Identification, Assessment, and Mitigation
Support departments in identifying, evaluating, and reporting internal and external risks.
Conduct workshops with function heads to develop risk treatment plans and mitigation strategies.
Engage in research on emerging risks and external factors affecting strategic objectives.
Develop and maintain a corporate risk register in collaboration with Business/Risk Champions.
Review and evaluate risk management approaches used by leading waste management organizations.
Risk Reporting
Maintain risk monitoring and reporting structures, including dashboards, templates, and documentation.
Ensure integration of risk considerations into the strategic planning process.
Develop KRIs aligned with KPIs to link risk management with business strategy.
Follow up on mitigation initiatives and report risk status regularly.
Prepare the annual risk report to support decision-making at the executive level.
Training and Development
Develop and update ERM training materials for internal stakeholders.
Facilitate risk management workshops to support departments in developing risk registers.
Coordinate risk taxonomy and assessment criteria across various risk functions (e.g., BCMS, ISMS, QMS).
Promote a strong risk culture through training and awareness initiatives.
