Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site electrical engineer to join our team for prestigious construction projects in Dubai. The candidate will be based on-site and will be responsible for reviewing and coordinating electrical shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and local regulations. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to liaise effectively with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Shop Drawings & Material Submittals Review

Review and approve electrical shop drawings to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and local regulations.

Evaluate and approve material submittals, ensuring they meet project requirements and specifications.

Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to resolve any discrepancies in drawings and materials.

2. RFIs & Technical Coordination

Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from contractors in a timely manner.

Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP, interior design) to ensure seamless integration of electrical elements.

Provide technical support and clarification to the construction team as required.

3. Site Supervision & Compliance

Conduct site inspections to ensure work is executed per approved shop drawings, materials, and specifications.

Identify and report any non-conformities and work with the contractor to resolve issues.

Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, Trakhees, DM, and other relevant authorities.

4. Design Modifications & Value Engineering

Assess and propose design modifications when required, ensuring feasibility and cost-effectiveness.

Participate in value engineering workshops to optimize design without compromising quality.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain and update records of all electrical submittals, RFIs, and correspondence.

Prepare progress reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and snag lists.

Attend project meetings and provide input on electrical aspects of the project.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.

Experience: Minimum 7-12 years of experience in site supervision, preferably on large-scale projects in Dubai.

Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, Adobe Suite, MS Office.

Regulations Knowledge: Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, and local building codes.

Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

Certifications: UAE Society of Engineers (preferred).

6. Senior Mechanical Engineer (supervision/site): 7-10 years proven experience in UAE (same description as electrical but change it to mechanical)

12. Senior Architectural engineer (site/supervision): 7-12 years proven experience in UAE in site supervision.
